Northam Memory Cafe is open on the 3rd Friday of each month between 10am -12pm, at the Northam Hall, junction of Fore Street and Heywood Road (near the War Memorial).
A memory café is a place where people with a dementia and their families/friends can visit to support each other and share information and experiences. The cafes provide a friendly, informal and relaxed atmosphere for visitors to drop by, enjoy a free cup of tea/coffee and some cake, and meet other people in similar circumstances to themselves, as well as the opportunity to talk with members of the healthcare team, and to get advice, information and support about living with dementia. Free leaflets are available, and also a variety of books about dementia and other relevant subjects to borrow.
The café operates on a drop in basis; just turn up any time between 10.00am-12noon on the 3rd Friday of the month, and you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and volunteers with a cup of tea/coffee and cake.If you would like to find out more about the Northam Memory Cafe please contact Sharon at Taw & Torridge Caring on 01237 459337 or email: sharonttc@torridgecvs.org.uk
