Identifying and responding to unmet need within local communities is a key activity of TTVS. This work is done through enabling, encouraging, supporting and developing local initiatives as well as developing projects to fill unmet need and to support core work.
Carers Support
- Carers Support for Adults with a Learning Disability - supporting representation and engagement of Carers of adults with learning disabilities via Locality and County Forums.
- Carers Support for Children with Special Needs – Parent Carers Voice.
- Taw and Torridge Caring & Sitting Service - support for Carers, including the provision of a Sitting Service, across Torridge and North Devon.
- Young Carers – Carewise - providing a range of practical and emotional support for young carers.
- Older People Services at TorrAGE - providing a range of services for older people including befriending, social activities, volunteering opportunities, informal advocacy, information and a basic garden service for those most in need.
