TRAINING AND EVENTS MENU
Facing the Future
TTVS, in partnership with North Devon Voluntary Services (NDVS), has secured a grant from Leader 4 to provide a programme of low cost training and support to local voluntary and community organisations. Funded until April 2012, the Facing the Future project aims to help the local sector manage issues emerging from a challenging strategic and economic climate and to develop the skills of local volunteers, trustees and charity employees.
The project will offer a range of ways for groups to get the training and support they need:
- Locally delivered courses – a broad range of training courses will be run in Northern Devon at a highly subsidised rate. (Current programme below.)
- Bespoke in-house/specialist training or support – at least 70 organisations can receive between 4-8 hours of specialist or bespoke training/support that responds to individual organisational issues. These issues will be identified through an organisational health and skills assessment conducted by TTVS or NDVS development workers. This kind of support could be, for example, legal advice, help with accounts, help with strategic planning, with issues around social enterprise development or the provision of a training course put on specifically to meet the needs of the group.
All groups in the Leader Action Group area – all of Torridge and North Devon, excluding Barnstaple – are eligible for support through this programme, but for the bespoke support, we are particularly interested in hearing from groups who are facing periods of change, transition or particular challenges.
Subsidised funding for the following courses has been provided by Leader 4 Torridge and North Devon. For more information on these, booking enquiries and registering an interest please contact:
