New funding opportunity - The Norman Family Charitable Trust

The Norman Family Charitable Trust has established a special, one-off, COVID Fund to enable charities and other non-profit organisations in Devon to return to normal operations as restrictions from COVID-19 are relaxed, helping them to respond to the needs of local communities.

Grants are expected to be flexible and can be used for a range of charitable purposes.  The Trust states on its website that “substantial funds will be made available”. While there are no minimum or maximum grant levels, the Trust’s grant awards for its Main Grants programme, which will continue alongside the COVID Fund, are usually less than £5,000.

There will initially be a first round of funding with decisions made in July 2021.  Depending on the response to the first round, one or two further rounds of funding may be opened to applicants later in the year and this may include extending the area of benefit to other parts of the South West region.

Applicants will be need to provide clear evidence of how COVID has adversely affected their organisation and the need for funding.  This will include latest accounts and a budget for the current financial year, together with details of funding received from other sources.
