Activities in the Community

We offer a range of activities in the community to encourage those over 50 and with disabilities to get ‘out and about’, participate and make new friends. These are funded by donations and include:

Tai Chi

To help with confidence, balance and general fitness. We have a very experienced instructor.Tai Chi is on a Tuesday in Northam Community Hall, 11.45 – 12.45.  All welcome, just turn up on the day

Dementia services

We offer a range of activities to help both the person and the carer, including:

  • ‘Singing for Health’ is a sing-a-long group at Torrington Hospital and Bideford
  • Memory Cafes in Northam at the Community Hall, 3rd Friday of the month 10.30 – 12.30.  All welcome, just turn up on the day andPollyfield Community Centre Centre East the Water 10:30 -  12:30 1st Friday of the month. Pop in and join us for a morning of supported activities with the opportunity to talk to other people over a cuppa 'n' cake and enjoy some entertainment/raffle
  • Art & Reminiscence and Carer Support Group in Bideford
