What a fabulous day our Young Carers at YCC had!
kayaking and canoeing on the River Exe, courtesy of the wonderful Exeter Canoe Club.
It was a beautiful, balmy day but they all stayed nice and cool on (and in) the water, while learning new skills from the experts. Some of them overcame their real fears around water and the progress to be seen, and fun to be had, was truly heart warming. Well done to all.
Afterwards they were treated to a delicious tea, also provided by Canoe Club members, with goodie bags to take home to their families.
