Job Description
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Salary: TBC
Length of Contract: Project end date 31st March 2026
Hours of Work: 7 hours per week to include occasional evening and weekend events
Holidays: Pro rata 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, plus 4 additional days between Christmas and New Year pro rata.
Location: 14 Bridgeland Street, Bideford, EX39 2QE.
Background: TTVS is the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) for Torridge District, incorporating a Volunteer Centre (VC), and has been representing and supporting the voluntary and community sector in Torridge since 1988. TTVS also delivers a number of health and social care projects across Northern Devon and is seeking to grow this capacity.
Role: To support identified seldom heard groups, on their journey towards quitting smoking, through engagement with Devon County Councils Smokefree Generation initiative. To work closely with our existing projects, and with partner agencies to support community members towards smoking cessation.
Responsibility
- To undertake Smokefree Generation training, and attend an in-person collective learning session to prepare you for the role
- To support a drop in for the homeless and provide support and information towards smoking cessation
- Provide information and support to TTVS and partner colleagues to enable them to circulate information and provide advice
- Produce information material relating to Smokefree Generation guidance, for distribution to existing community groups. Promotion of media campaigns, to include reels and TikTok videos along with Facebook and other social media channels.
- Record all data collected towards an impact report, including use of Charity Log for reporting and evaluation.
